ANNUAL YOUTH GROUP DINNER/TALENT SHOW

The 13th Annual Youth Group Fundraiser, sponsored by St. Casimir's Youth Group, Lowell, MA was held Sunday, November 5 in the parish center.  Bishop Paul Sobiechowski and wife Karen were our guests.

Father Tenus welcomed all guests and introduced the youth who sang a blessing song before they served a delicious chicken pot pie dinner with squash, peas, carrots and mashed potatoes with hot apple crisp for dessert.

After dinner, the youth/children took to the stage.

Ian Ford-Hunt, a senior at Lowell High School, gave a power point presentation on his recent trip to Germany and Poland.  It was very informative and well done.

Children then sang “Gods Circle of love”  followed by Emma Ford-Hunt dancing a traditional Irish  hornpipe dance and a Slip jig tap dance. Ian announced the raffle to be held at the end of the event.

Children then sang “Peter, James and John in a rowboat” followed by “Here I Am to Worship” directed by Karina Tenus.  Solo parts were sung by Christopher Tenus, Jonasz Tenus and Amelia Tenus.

The last song presented was “Why Dear Maiden” a Polish folk song, sung in Polish.

Emma recited “On the First Thanksgiving Day.”  Karina thanked all for coming and supporting the youth and wished everyone a safe journey home.
