Many Enjoy Polish Food Fest 2016
October 22 was a lovely autumn day during which we celebrated our Annual Polish Food Fest. Hundreds of people entered our parish center, decorated with a fall motif, to partake of delicious Polish foods at our Polish eat-in kitchen or to buy foods to take home. Traffic was steady. Customers were patient.
In addition to pierogi (cabbage/sauerkraut or potato/farmers cheese) and gołąbki, kapusta and kielbasa, guests could buy Polish casserole, cabbage or pickle soup, as well as babka, rozetki, chrust, pączki. American favorites were also available such as carrot cake and apple pies.
Numbers were drawn every half hour for prizes donated by parishioners and friends of St. Casimir's. A raffle for lottery tickets was drawn at the end of the day.
All in all, the day was a successful one and we look forward to sponsoring another Polish food fest in October, 2017.
